City College is currently seeking to recruit a number of temporary Learning Facilitators to provide personal and group support to students with additional needs both in the classroom and within the wider college environment. 
 
Successful applicants will be required to assist students in overcoming the barriers to learning to ensure students meet their full potential and achieve.
 
Ideally candidates should have a relevant qualification in Caring and have some practical experience of working with people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities preferably in an education environment.

Teacher/Course Organiser in Chemistry/Applied Science
Band 3: £26,610-£32,739 (FTE) 0.6/22 hours per week

City College Coventry are looking to recruit a Lecturer/Course Organiser to teach across a range of Science courses currently being offered by the Faculty. Specifically the successful candidate will lead on Chemistry and Applied Science, particularly A Level Chemistry where currently success rates are good but need to built upon and consolidated.
 
Along with the teaching role, the successful candidate will be the Course Organiser for the BTEC Extended Diploma in Science and will also develop the BTEC Applied Science programme including the options related to enterprise and employability.   As a key member of the team we will also be looking for the successful candidate to make a substantial contribution to developing employment links by leading on the Science Career Academy.
 
Applicants will be required to have a degree/HND in chemistry or similar and have a recognised teaching qualification.  You will need to be able to evidence experience of working in an FE environment and of successfully teaching Chemistry at A level.  This role will require excellent communication and organisational skills coupled with a strong commitment to develop the potential of all learners
For the successful candidate, you will be working in a culturally inclusive environment with enthusiastic and motivated learners.
 
As this role involves working with young people an enhanced CRB will be required.

Business Applications Development Manager
Salary: Up to £48,687  Full Time

City College Coventry is a modern city centre college serving the people of Coventry and surrounding areas; located in new buildings with state of the art facilities this is a great place to work and develop your career.  Following an internal restructure we are now looking to appoint a Business Applications Development Manager.

The key focus for the successful candidate will be to drive our business intelligence venture and SharePoint 2010 delivering successful cross college systems development projects.  You will lead and manage our intranet face-lift and guarantee ILT have first class IT support and security.  We are looking for someone who will ensure our systems and future developments are not only efficient and fit for purpose but also sustainable and ‘leading edge’ in terms of our use of technology and aligned to the College’s strategic goals.
 
Whilst the successful candidate will have some line management responsibilities, this is a hands on role and therefore we are looking for someone with the relevant technical skills and experience. 
 
Applicants should have:
  • A good level of general education ie minimum of GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English and a Business analysis qualification eg ISEB, at NVQ Level 4/5
  • Significant experience in carrying out business analysis investigations using standard based methodology and facilitating workshops with users
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to map and author high quality technical documentation and processes.
  • Experience of working with BI Stack and knowledge of web programming and document management technologies
  • Confidence and able to build strong relationships with users
  • A strong commitment to quality and customer care
  • A professional and flexible approach
