City College Coventry Learner Car-Parking
The College offers students the opportunity to park their vehicle in a well-lit, secure, manned multi-storey on-site car-park. The College car-park is located in Bath Street at the rear of the North Building. To park here students will be required to purchase a car-park access pass, at an annual fee of £5.00. In addition to this, daily charges apply. They are as follows:
|
0 - 1 Hour 1 - 2 Hours 2 - 4 Hours 4 - 6 Hours 6-15 Hours |
£0.40 £0.70 £1.00 £1.50 £2.00 |
How to obtain access to the car-park
Learners will need to purchase a car-park access pass, at a cost of £5.00. Learners can purchase an access pass from the Finance Cash Office window located in Student Services or Main Reception – both located in the South building.
Please note:
-
The Finance Cash Office is open from: 11.30am to 2.30pm and Main Reception is open from: 5.00pm to 6.30pm on a daily basis, during term time, for learners wishing to purchase an access pass.
-
The administration fee of £5.00 is NON-REFUNDABLE. If access passes are lost, a further £5.00 administration fee will be charged to replace it.
-
Access pass Application Forms are available from Main Reception (South Building). The Application Form should be completed, in full, by the learner, before being presented at the Finance Cash Office Window or Main Reception Desk (opening times, as listed above).
Allocated spaces will be issued on a first come first serve basis. However, this does not guarantee you a space in the car-park, due to limited spaces. Once you have been allocated this access pass you may use the College car-park.
Entry to the car-park
When driving to the entrance barrier, you will need to present your car-park access pass at the ticket-console located by the barrier. You will then need to press the button to obtain a ticket. Please take this ticket and keep it safe, as you will need this to exit the car-park later.
Exiting the car-park
Once you have finished your day/evening at College, before departing, you will need to take your ticket and place it in one of the ‘pay machines’ located in the car-park, whereby it will calculate the time you have stayed and apply a charge. You will need to make the payment; once payment has been received the ticket will be returned to you. Please note, no change will be given.
When exiting the car-park, drive to the exit barrier and insert the ticket into the operating machine. The exit barrier will lift for you to leave. Please drive carefully, as the College service entrance is also located in Bath Street, so often large vehicles are present.
Please Note:
- Teaching staff are unable to make allowances if you have difficulty finding a parking space. It is your responsibility to make arrangements to be at College on time, for the start of your lessons.
- The College reserves the right to stop any learners using the car-park inappropriately, irresponsibly or if there are disciplinary issues proceeding within College.
- Learners are expected to behave in a reasonable and responsible manner showing due consideration to other users. Unacceptable behaviour may result in immediate withdrawal of the parking facility
- Drivers must not ‘tail-gate’. Barriers have been programmed to admit only one vehicle at a time. The College cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage consequent upon mis-use of the barrier system.
- Vehicles must be parked in designated parking places only. Vehicles must not be parked in areas hatched in yellow, on yellow lines, in locations where health and safety issues arise (e.g. blocking fire escape routes), or in such a way that causes obstruction or inconvenience to other users. Anyone parking in such locations may be clamped.
- The College car-park is private property, where all vehicles are parked at their owners’ risk. The College cannot accept responsibility for loss of, or damage to, vehicles or their contents whilst parked in the College car-park.
- The College car-park is currently open during the hours of 6.30am – 10.00pm, Monday – Friday during term time. Times can be subject to change. Overnight parking of vehicles is prohibited and may be clamped.
- The speed limit in the car-park is 5 MPH. Anyone caught exceeding this speed limit may have their access pass revoked.
