Level 2 Award for Working as a Door Supervisor
This accredited qualification is ideal for anyone wishing to work as a Door Supervisor, as it provides the necessary skills and knowledge to apply for an SIA licence and work as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry. Subjects covered include behavioural standards, legislation relevant to the role, search procedures, powers of arrest, recording incidents and crime preservation, reducing risk, conflict management and communicating effectively.
Level 2 Award for Working as a Security Officer within the Private Sector
This accredited qualification is ideal for anyone wishing to work as a Security Guard. It is based on relevant SIA specifications for learning and qualifications, providing the necessary skills and knowledge to apply for an SIA licence and work as a Security Guard within the Private Security Industry. Subjects covered include the roles and responsibilities of security officers, patrolling, security systems, communication, reporting and record keeping, avoiding conflict and reducing personal risk, defusing conflict, resolving and learning from conflict.
Level 2 Award for Working as a CCTV Operator
This accredited qualification is ideal for anyone wishing to work as a CCTV operative, as it provides the necessary skills and knowledge to apply for an SIA licence in this field. It has been developed to meet the requirements of the Security Industry Authority (SIA). Subjects covered include roles and responsibilities of CCTV operators, codes of practice, operational procedures and guidelines, CCTV equipment and operation, surveillance techniques.
This Course enables delegates to develop an understanding of, and a trust in, shared goals, and how to inspire openness, discipline, and creativity so that people work for mutual benefit. It also covers strategies for coping with conflict, and when and how to use them to enhance practical leadership skills.
This qualification is a 21 day course and is designed for people who want to work as close protection officers and require a licence to practise. The qualification is endorsed by the Security Industry Authority (SIA) and learners who have completed it successfully can then apply to the SIA for a licence. It is an SIA regulatory guided learning hours (GLH) qualification that consists of one mandatory unit, providing for a total of 16 credits. The unit comprises the knowledge, understanding and skills required to become a licensed close protection operative. It will be assessed partly by a written test and partly by practical assessment.
