After many years of being a primary school teaching assistant, I decided it was time to pursue my dream career of becoming a mental health nurse. In 2015 I enrolled on the ladders to learning GCSE Maths and English Course.
Due to the fact I had been out of education for 22 years, I felt this would be an ideal stepping stone to prepare me for the demands of my current Level 3 Access to Health course. I was very proud to have achieved a grade A in Maths and B in English thanks to the continuous support and quality teaching I received throughout the duration of the GCSE course. The lessons were interesting and interactive making it easier to learn and retain the subject matter.
I am really enjoying the Access course that I’m currently studying. Although challenging the subjects that I am studying I find very stimulating and fascinating. The teachers are very supportive and readily available to answer any questions.
I have just sent my UCAS application off and am hoping to gain a place on the degree course Mental Health Nursing at Coventry University once I have successfully completed the Access course.
