Higher Education and Professional Studies Brochure

City College Coventry has a long history of providing Higher Education and Professional courses for students, most of whom have come from the local community. Many of our students will have enrolled on lower level programmes and decided to remain at the College because they know the teachers and are confident they will get the support they need.

At the College’s recent HE Inspection (IQER 2010) students cited the quality of tutor support as one of the best aspects of their programme.  Mature students returning to education after a break also benefit from smaller class sizes and more tutor support before moving on to University.

After completing a level 4 programme of study (eg BTEC Higher National Certificate or Diploma or the first part of a 2+2 Degree programme), many of our students progress onto Degrees at university. The College has developed excellent links with a range of universities in order to maximise the choices available to our students.

Students may also pay less by choosing to study at College. If you are studying close to home you probably won’t have additional living costs and you may be able to carry on working while you are studying. Most universities in England will charge the maximum tuition fee of £9000. The tuition fees for studying at City College Coventry for the 2012/2013 academic year are £3,800 for HND programmes and HNC tuition fees are £1,900.

We are confident that by choosing to enrol on one of the Higher Education courses at City College Coventry and taking advantage of our experience and excellent facilities you will be best prepared to achieve all your educational and career objectives.
